Mango Lassi

Hi guys, how are you all doing?

I am overly excited about today’s recipe. Mangoes are in season and you know what means. Another recipe another discovery. ๐Ÿ™‚

I remember this HSBC BANK advert (UK) about them being worldwide and how they reach out to people etc. So this gentleman visits India and he sees all the wonderful culture and all. He then gets offered a drink. It was yellowish orange and creamy. I was curious as to what the drink is. I thought it was a yoghurt drink. (Well I am right sorta ๐Ÿ™‚

It did contain yoghurt. Further inquiries I found out it was Mango Lassi. I was really happy to put a name to it. I was also very glad to find out that ingredients are readily available ๐Ÿ™‚

Ok, lets get started shall we ๐Ÿ™‚

2 cups of ripe mangoes (cold mangoes works better)
1 cup of greek yoghurt
1 tablespoon of sugar
1/4 cup of cold milk (optional)
A pinch of cardamon

A tall glass cup

Prep time : 5 minutes

*the milk must be cold or else the drink will curdle*
* I allowed my yoghurt to get semi frozen*

Method :
Wash the mangoes. Peel of the skin and cut into small cubes. Put it into the blender.

Because I used a whole cardamom pod, I crushed it first in a mortar and the. Added the crushed spice into the blender.

Next add all the other ingredients into the blenber. Close the lid and blend until smooth.

Pour in the blended contents into the tall glass and garnish with a sprig of mint. (Optional)

All done. Now enjoy your cold drink. ๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿน

*if you are watching your weight, add splenda sugar and ensure the milk is skimmed milk*

*Splenda sugar is the healthy alternative to sugar
*Skimmed milk is the lowest fat milk which contains 0-5% of fat.

Thats it from me today.
